New Patients

First time at the Aloha Chiropractic Center II??

A first visit to a chiropractor can seem a little daunting but it is important for us to have all the information possible about your condition in order to treat it. The first visit will consist of filling out some paperwork, an initial exam, a report of findings and the adjustment itself. Depending on the extent of your injury or condition a first visit can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Generally clients involved in car accidents take the longest. But no worries, after the exam the adjustments themselves only take about 15 to 20 minutes.

ExamsEvery new patient or injury will need an exam. The more areas affected, the longer the exam will take. During the exam the doctor will do a physical which will include ranges of motion, soft tissue check over, orthopedic tests, and needed neurological tests. He will also go over your chief complaints, and an overview of your medical history, which includes any medications and surgeries you might have had. X-ray, MRI, and Nerve Conduction Study referrals necessary to evaluate and care for your condition(s) will also be provided.

Report of FindingsThis is when the doctor will go over the information  from your examination and paperwork and decide what kind of treatment plan is best for you. Not all conditions can be fixed quickly and it is very important to stick to the plan in order to get well.

AdjustmentThis is the last step in your initial visit. Our office has different tables that cater to different people and conditions. Once the doctor and you have decided which one is best for your needs he will begin the adjustment. Most of his techniques are by hand but he does use some tools to assist. It is very important to inform us if you have any conditions that might cause you to bruise easily so the doctor can adjust his technique. And of course we love any feedback on how you are feeling or anything you’d like us to change. Aloha Chiropractic is like a home away from home for our staff, our patients are our friends and neighbors, and are always welcome.
